Thursday Music #1: One Love - Eunhyuk with SJKRY

Thursdays were like an ocean. There were times it was hectic, there are times when it was peaceful. For me, Thursday is a day when almost all the work was done...and a day to prepare for Friday.

Thursday is the new Monday...

I decided on my own to create a day where I could share my favorite songs. Or if not my favorite songs...just songs that I like. At least it was uniform unlike Mondays right?

One Love...

I don't know why but I wanted to be a rapper if ever I would enter the K-Pop industry (as if...) :D Also, for me, this song is very meaningful. When listening and reading the English translations for this song, I think of many things.

Eunhyuk was one of my most loved members because he was actually my ideal type. His height was perfect (for me, I'm only 5 feet 2), he was fair, he has small eyes and has a mono lid (I have double eyelids so I find it cute), he can play the piano, he can compose songs, he can dance, he has gummy smile...there were still lots of them. Then why did I like Teuk? Haha. That was actually explained in my 3rd Diary if you've read.

Going back to the song. This song was actually done on their first Asia tour. Some ELF said that this was for ELF because that time there was an issue. (If you don't know it, you just have to search, or maybe I'll try to share it next time) For me, it sounded like a song for his ex...except for the fact that he doesn't really drink alcohol. Some said that the "SJ to the E to the H" part stands for SJ to Leeteuk (Eeteuk) to Hyun (Kyuhyun), because there was an only thirteen campaign during those times. I thought it was Eun(E) Hyuk(H)! Or if not, Eeteuk to Henry? But it's just my opinion of course.

The song was catchy to me because i don't really just rely on the sound. I'd rather like the sound at first then go to the meaning. A song without a good meaning is not a good song, a song without a good sound is not a good song either. I don't care too much about how it was wrapped about...I do have my preferences. I don't care if it's pop or funky or techno or rap or hiphop...as long as it's nice to hear with a good story to tell.

"One Love" definitely caught my ears as well as it triggered my emotion. I liked that it was addressed to someone you still love but chose to leave. It was like a good old story of two lovers. It's a classic wrapped in a new form.

KRY were really great singers. Kyu's strong vocals, Wookie's sweet ones and Yesung's soulful voice were a perfect match. The adlibs were also done very smoothly. With all those adlibs if it's another song, you'll find it annoying but in this case it actually sounded good to me.

Hmm..I guess I'm not good at reviewing songs right? That's fine coz I'm not really reviewing, it's more of like sharing what I like to you :D

Songs are like stories, if it's good, it's worth sharing.
